Kottappuram is a town and is situated in the Malappuram district of Kerala state, India. GHSS Kottappuram is one of the Skill Development Centre among the 14 SDC’s in Malappuram. SDC Kottappuram is located in Govt Higher secondary school Kottappuram. The government offices like Panchayath office and mini civil station and village office is very close to the school premises.
SDC was implemented on Nov 2015. There were only FM batch at that year with 5 ASAP institutions. In 2017-18 academic year 6 institutions were part of ASAP programme .6 regular skill courses and 1 summer skill course were allotted for this academic year. There is a fully furnished Computer lab and Net facility in the SDC which is so essential for the functioning of ASAP classes.
