INTRODUCTION
In the scenario of Covid-19 Pandemic, ASAP Foundation Module classes at GHSS Kottappuram (2019-21 batch) were conducted online from 10th November, after the ToT held for SDEs named Unlock FM 14.0. The training itself had given a lot of insights towards handling online sessions effectively. The previous experiences on conducting and attending various online sessions ad webinars have also helped a lot. Several interactive tools online were planned and executed well from the beginning of the sessions.
Consent letters were collected from all students informing the online classes and regarding attendance prior to the commencement of the online sessions.
ONLINE FAMILIARIZATION FOR STUDENTS
A one week preparation was done in order to ensure the smooth process throughout the sessions once started; As part of this, two online meetings were held on Google Meet and gave an outline about the online sessions, the challenges and their concerns were discussed. Instructions were also given for creating E-mail IDs for every students in their own name and activate on the available devices. They were also instructed to install all required applications and a demonstration on the same was also provided.
A session on WhatsApp was also conducted prior to the commencement of the online sessions on 7th November in order to explore the possibilities.
The online class timings were decided as per the discussions from the students, as 7 am to 8 am since most of them preferred the timing in the early morning.
THE BEGINNING
Though there were several technical glitches and issues at student side, but only for the first two days. All those issues related to their device compatibility and other technical failures were resolved in the first two days itself.
NOVEMBER 2020
The online classes were resumed from the unit were it was stopped before the Covid-19 lockdown. The first session handled online was the IV Session from Module II titled Being Tolerent and Flexible, and which found to be a nice start. Module II was completed by 25th of November. The major activities executed in various sessions of this module were Interactive voting for choices, finding similarities in pairs, healdline writing for news stories, film quiz and reviews based on several shortfilms, preparing speeches etc. Energizers using various online platforms were also conducted on day to day basis and special activity on Childresn’s day was also conducted. Module III started on 27th November and being continued.
DECEMBER 2020
Module III on Organizational Skills have been continued in December. The sessions in this module were found more suitable for online mode and various activities outside the prescribed ones were also conducted using various online platforms. The major activities conducted in this module include prioritizing their plans, event scheduling online, crossword, collage and other puzzles and quizzes on various sessions, problem solving activities and an election special activity. Three units have been completed till 14th December 2020.
ADDITIONAL INPUTS
The sessions start everyday with a thought of the day, which is supposed to be read out in the class by any student and followed by a description. A general information on current affair is also being shared and discussed in an interactive way before starting every session. Every sessions are coordinated using two devices, a mobile phone for video stream and a laptop for power point presentation which help making the sessions more interactive.

ATTENDANCE
Every session in November and December marked an average attendance above 85%. The data being updated online everyday help keep track of the attendance progress. Leaves were granted for few students on various occasions related to their class exams, gadget availability and other reasons.
