Trust

I was working in the Army since eighties. I was assigned a lot of tasks which was to be completed on a war time basis. I along with my colleagues worked on it overnight to complete it. I was motivated by the trust of my superiors.

Presently, on retirement from the great organization, I am associated with education of the new gen. While working in a Springs Continental Schools,Manjeri with a great social engineer, I found that building trust in children is the job of every one who is associate with character building . Sir uses class meetings to develop the trust in young minds. Pupil reveal everything during conversation. He never questioned the honesty of the children. There were no questions like ‘Is it true’, ‘I will ask your parents’ etc. What is said by children are believed to be true. With this, children improve their ability to communicate and build a trust in the group. From here they add trust to life and maintain it long life. This is how we can move to a better society and a better living.

Hence I observed the necessity of building trust in our society at various levels. It has to be developed between, parents and children, husband and wife, employees and employer… and at all levels where there is a bond between people in society. It has to be practiced and nourished deliberately. All technological advancement should fail before disputes involving ‘trust’. There should be no choice before questions involving ‘trust’.
